The fear of investing stops many making the final decision to invest. Some people for weeks, months and even years have wanted to invest. Looked into it, got pre approval from the bank, found a product that they think is good and then at the last minute pulled out because they got scared. In many cases it is not actually fear but adrenalin. Buying property and spending maybe half a million dollars is big stuff and gets the heart racing – this is often mistaken as fear.
Most actors before going on stage feel nervous and anxious, seasoned property investors still get the buzz of adrenalin, feel nervous and anxious when buying property, but they have learnt to overcome this and realize it for what it is.
The first time or novice investor gets this feeling, which makes them nervous, anxious, and so they pull out when often all they needed to do it forge on. In many cases had they done this the first time, they would now be sporting a property portfolio worth millions.
Don’t mistake adrenalin and excitement for fear just because it is new to you. If you have bank approval and you have done your research, then be decisive and buy.
