Investment Boom 2020

I really enjoy these first few weeks of January. The quiet start to a new year gives us time to think about what we'd like to achieve in the year ahead.

Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started". And this is particularly true in the property market. Why do we sit back and watch others grow their wealth while we do nothing?

So, let's make 2020 the year for you!

On Monday night Channel 7 News ran a story highlighting the difficulty in finding a tradesman on the Sunshine Coast. The construction boom is definitely keeping them all busy.

And local builders are feeling it too. They are struggling to keep up with the demand for quality homes on the Sunshine Coast.

With all this activity, local real estate agents are predicting a 20-30% increase in property prices and are desperately seeking new houses to list. And with the population increasing at 10,000 new residents a year, this growth on the Sunshine Coast is likely to continue.

If you're a first home buyer or savvy investor, 2020 is set to be a bumper year!

So, if you're thinking of investing in 2020 but not sure what to do first, this is my recommendation:

  1. Contact a Mortgage Broker (or I can refer you to someone independent) and find out your borrowing capacity. This will set you a maximum budget and if you do this before you start looking at property options, it will save you a lot of time.
  2. Seek Professional Guidance (that’s me...) and get a comprehensive property investment analysis done.
